Course Description

The advanced course in Roman micromosaic is an intensive program dedicated to the in-depth study and practice of one of the most refined techniques in mosaic art. From its Hellenistic origins to the golden age of Roman art, the course explores the history, materials, and methods that characterize micromosaic as an art form of the highest precision and aesthetic value.

Through lectures and workshops, participants will analyze the techniques of cutting and installing the finest tesserae , aimed at creating highly detailed pictorial and chromatic effects. The course includes the creation of a micromosaic emblem , inspired by ancient models, with an approach that combines traditional skills and contemporary sensibility.
