В прошлые выходные я приняла участие в курсе мозаики из гальки с Тицианой Мондини и Лукой Риджио. Это был действительно фантастический курс! Сначала мы пошли в настоящий карьер собирать гальку для мозаики. Потом мы отправились к месту установки мозаики в частном саду, где нам нужно было сделать из гальки небольшую садовую дорожку. Там мы многому научились: нам рассказали немного о том как были сделаны самые древние мозаики из гальки в Турции и Греции, объяснили и показали как замешивать цемент для укладки гальки, как правильно класть гальку, как крепить ее на дорожке, и т. д. И самое интересное было то что у нас была возможность тут же попробовать делать всё это своими руками! Преподаватели были очень профессиональны и чрезвычайно дружелюбны, и они дали нам много полезных советов. Помимо изготовления садовой дорожки из гальки, в конце курса у нас также была возможность сделать небольшую мозаику из гальки просто для украшения... Кроме того, кажлый день наши преподаватели организовали для нас невероятный домашний обед, приготовленный коренной итальянкой. В общем и целом, это отличный практический курс, на котором всего за 3 дня можно узнать много всего интересного и полезного + удивительное итальянское гостеприимство. Я очень рекомендую этот курс🤩🤩🤩.

I was looking for a professional course to try to become a professional in mosaic art and this is exactly what I was after for.

My time at Intessere is truly one of the best period of time I had. I lived in the picturesque medieval town of Narni which is not far away form the school, and spent every day making mosaic and learning different techniques. Tiziana is very kind and welcoming and very sincere. On the first day she made it very clear that it is a professional course and I was held to the very same high standard. She shared all the inside knowledge and tricks for the trade and did not hold me as merely a hobbyist / tourist. I only wish I could spend more time here.

When I lost my beloved Yorkie Coco after 15 1/2 years together, I sent a photo to Tiziana and she recreated by hand a mossaic pattern for me to follow. When it was done it looked exactly like my Coco expression and all! Instructions are easy to follow ! Don’t hesitate!

As part of our 3 month trip in Italy my wife and I enrolled in a 40-hour course in Roman mosaics offered by Tiziana Mondini (In Tessere Scuola di Mosaico) in Umbria. This was outside our comfort zones as scientists, and as intermediate-level students of the language. We had a wonderful experience in every respect and recommend the course to anyone who would be visiting Italy long enough for the churches and museum to begin looking all alike.

Tiziana is a skilled and dedicated teacher as well as accomplished artist. We we were able to complete 6 mosaics using three different techniques that we will be taking home, along with tools to continue making mosaics

Tiziana was very accommodating as to the scheduling. We opted for spreading the 40 hours over 2 weeks so that we would have days off for day trips and bike rides.

We stayed in a small apartment in Narni-Scalo that we booked through AirBnB. It was a 2 minute walk from the mosaic school and the train station. The medieval town of Narni is a 30-40 minute walk up the hill from the modern town of Narni Scalo.

We experienced no difficulty in competing the class without the English interpreter offered by the school. Tiziana made a point to speak slowly in Italian, and repeat herself when needed. It was like having free Italian lessons.
