Course description

The course is dedicated to the study of the micromosaic technique applied to jewelry, with particular attention to the use of thread and Venetian glass tiles.

All processing stages will be analyzed: from the preparation of the support to the creation of tiny decorative compositions.
A focus will be reserved for traditional styles and contemporary expressive possibilities, to combine artisanal precision and innovation.

The practical exercises will guide participants in creating micromosaic jewelry of refined precision.

  • Micromosaic technique applied to jewelry

  • Use of thread and Venetian glass tiles

  • Preparation of the support and processing stages

  • Study of traditional styles and modern reinterpretations

  • Design and create unique jewelry (ring, bracelet, pendant, etc.)

  • Develop manual precision and creativity in miniature

Program

1st day

  • Morning: presentation and theoretical lesson on micromosaic

  • Demonstration of glass fusion for creating threads

  • Afternoon: exercises and selection of subjects to create

2nd day

  • Creation of the first piece of jewelry in micromosaic (approx. 3×3 cm)

  • Fusion using a spirit lamp for smaller threads

3rd day

  • Creation of the second piece of jewelry in micromosaic (approx. 3×3 cm)

  • Delivery of participation certificate and the mosaic works created

The mosaic school in Tessere is open all year round and follows national holidays.

Each path is individual. The start date is freely chosen by the student, without a predetermined calendar. In case of special needs, it is possible to distribute the course hours over more days than the standard program (for example, 3 hours a day instead of 7).
