Tiziana Mondini stars in "Pixel Mosaici – Pangea"

Among the Biennale’s flagship events, the group exhibition “Pixel Mosaici – Pangea. Mothers of Land, Water and Sky” stands out, curated by Linda Kniffitz , which will be held from 19 October to 30 November 2025 at BB Pixel Mosaici .
The project draws inspiration from Pangea , the ancient supercontinent symbolizing the union of fragments and diversity. Through the language of mosaic, eight international artists explore the role of women as guardians of resilience, hope, and universal strength. The works on display create a collective narrative that intertwines cultures, languages, and identities, presenting mosaic as a vehicle for dialogue and social transformation.
"Hidden Voice": the work of Tiziana Mondini
In this context, Tiziana Mondini presents “Voce Nascosta” , an intense and symbolic work dedicated to the Indian writer and activist Arundhati Roy , an iconic figure in the fight for human rights.
The protagonist's presence is not immediate: veiled by a sculptural mosaic pattern, it gradually emerges like a voice breaking the silence—the voice of the written word, of denunciation and resistance. Here, texture becomes the undisputed protagonist , transcending the simple surface to transform into a three-dimensional body that challenges the traditional two-dimensionality of mosaic. Each tile acquires sculptural value, becoming volume and living matter.

"Hidden Voice" blends tradition and modernity in a language that evokes rather than describes. The figure is not depicted realistically, but rather suggested, like Roy's free and courageous thought. With this work, Mondini reaffirms his artistic exploration of the sculptural nature of mosaic and its ability to tell profound and universal stories, capable of whispering before shouting.
