PEBBLE MOSAIC GROUP COURSE - 3 DAYS + MOSAIC TOOL SET - 28-29-30 MAY 2025
Course objectives: DESIGN AND CREATION OF AN OUTDOOR COBBLE PAVEMENT AS A COLLECTIVE WORK OF ALL PARTICIPANTS
3-day mosaic workshop to study and learn how to create cobbled mosaic works in collaboration with master Luca Riggio.
Possibility to pay for the entire course or only the mandatory pre-registration (85€ non-refundable).
General Objective: To explore the world of pebble mosaic flooring through the study of ancient works and traditional techniques.
The course offers the opportunity to discover and learn the age-old techniques of pebble mosaic to transform simple stones into works of art.
Subsequent creation of a real outdoor cobblestone pavement.
Location : The theoretical part will take place at the Mosaico In Tessere school in Narni Scalo (Tr). The construction of the mosaic will take place in Narni in a private construction site (Umbria).
Day 1: Introduction to Cobblestone Technique

Theory and methodologies of laying cobblestone pavements.

Selection of the material directly from the quarry and preparation of the base for the subsequent laying of the mosaic.

Hands-on demonstrations and guided indoor exercises to experience the creative process.
Day 2: Creating the Cobblestone Pavement

Collaboration in the creation of authentic flooring, inspired by the motifs and designs of antiquity.

Led by expert instructors, participants will have the opportunity to create an authentic mosaic, inspired by the motifs and designs of antiquity.
Day 3: Finishing and Closing Ceremony

Completion of the cobblestone paving and preparation for the final celebration.

Closing ceremony with the delivery of certificates, commemorating an experience of knowledge and passion transformed into tangible works of art.
This workshop represents a unique opportunity to explore the art and tradition of ancient mosaics, leaving a lasting mark on the cultural landscape of Narni and beyond.

В прошлые выходные я приняла участие в курсе мозаики из гальки с Тицианой Мондини и Лукой Риджио. Это был действительно фантастический курс! Сначала мы пошли в настоящий карьер собирать гальку для мозаики. Потом мы отправились к месту установки мозаики в частном саду, где нам нужно было сделать из гальки небольшую садовую дорожку. Там мы многому научились: нам рассказали немного о том как были сделаны самые древние мозаики из гальки в Турции и Греции, объяснили и показали как замешивать цемент для укладки гальки, как правильно класть гальку, как крепить ее на дорожке, и т. д. И самое интересное было то что у нас была возможность тут же попробовать делать всё это своими руками! Преподаватели были очень профессиональны и чрезвычайно дружелюбны, и они дали нам много полезных советов. Помимо изготовления садовой дорожки из гальки, в конце курса у нас также была возможность сделать небольшую мозаику из гальки просто для украшения... Кроме того, кажлый день наши преподаватели организовали для нас невероятный домашний обед, приготовленный коренной итальянкой. В общем и целом, это отличный практический курс, на котором всего за 3 дня можно узнать много всего интересного и полезного + удивительное итальянское гостеприимство. Я очень рекомендую этот курс🤩🤩🤩.
