The mosaics made with our DIY mosaic kits are suitable for outdoors and indoors. They can be placed wherever you want, such as hung on a wall, on the floor or placed on the table as a painting.

The "DIY" mosaic kits by In Tessere mosaic school are a new idea both for beginners and expert mosaic lovers. They are easy tools to make art wherever you are.

They are suitable for any level of expertise in mosaic art: from the beginner levels to the most advanced ones.

All the kits and mosaic sets are handmade and created in our laboratory in Umbria (Italy). We manually carve all the mosaic tiles and carefully prepare each kit.

This practical tool was born in 2016 to meet the needs of students who participate in our mosaic courses so they can practice at home and improve their technical skills and handiwork. 

The simplicity of creating your own project and the immediacy of having it at home gave rise to the idea of “DIY Mosaics” for all lovers of art, creativity and Italian manufacturing.

For Italy and some European countries shipping is free (up to 30 kg - up to 66 pounds).

For all other countries and packages over 30 kg (over 66 pounds), the cost of shipping varies. 

TOOLS INCLUDED IN THE MOSAIC KIT

The kit includes:

  • 1 mosaic nippers for cutting tiles,
  • 1 bag with glue powder,
  • 1 silicone bowl where preparing the glue,
  • 1 measuring cup for preparing the glue,
  • 1 spatula for mixing the glue,
  • 1 metal spatula to spread the glue,
  • 1 tweezers,
  • 1 actual scale drawing of the chosen subject,
  • 1 drawing with the indication of the colors which compose the subject, each color identified by a number.
  • 1 drawing of the subject in a reduced size,
  • 1 bag with glue powder,
  • 1 bowl for the glue,
  • 1 spatula for mixing glue,
  • 1 measuring cup for glue,
  • 1 fiberglass net,
  • 1 sheet of transparent film or paper,
  • 1 bag of acrylic resin or marble reviver (only for MARBLE mosaic kits),
  • 1 PDF illustrated guide (in Italian, English, French, Spanish or German) with the step by step explanation of how to make the mosaic using the chosen technique,
  • 1 online video tutorial (unlimited views) with multilingual subtitles.

Unlimited views online videos accessible via links wherever you are. The artist and teacher Tiziana Mondini explains step by step how to proceed in the creation of a mosaic with the chosen mosaic technique.

ABOUT THE COLORS OF THE MATERIALS

The colors in the photos are only indicative. The tiles sent with the kit can have similar colors but they are never identical to the sample. For example, marble is a natural material, a stone which has its own characteristics and gradient nuances which are unique.
