The mosaic school in Tessere is open all year round and follows national holidays.

Face-to-face Roman mosaic basic course (40 hours)
Duration of the course : 40 hours
Location: Scuola In Tessere, Via della Stazione 32, Narni Scalo (Tr)
Type of lessons: frontal in presence. Each student is followed by the teacher as if he were following a private lesson. Personalized and individual training courses.
Lecturer: Tiziana Mondini.
Participants: from 1 to 8 people maximum
Calendar: each student can customize the course calendar by deciding both the start date and the division of hours according to their own time availability . The school configures its mosaic courses as personalized and tailor-made training courses for its students.
Certificate: at the end of the course, a nominal certificate will be issued with an indication of the type of course and hours attended.
Course enrollment includes:
- participation in the course according to their own calendar decided by the student,
- 1 pincer to finish and cut the marble tiles,
- 1 spatula and 1 mosaic tweezers,
- 1 video-tutorial with a step-by-step explanation of the chosen mosaic technique,
- Various handouts for the theoretical study of the mosaic and its history.
The tools listed above will remain the property of each student enrolled in the professional mosaic course even after the course.
Summary program of the course :
- history of the mosaic,
- Exercises and various laying methodologies,
- Study of execution techniques,
- Choice and realization of the sketch,
- Execution of a Roman mosaic work .
Equipment provided to each student (owned by the school) : cutter, hammer, pincers, tweezers, and all the tools necessary for learning and practicing the art of mosaic.
Materials available to each student (owned by the school): marble, enamel, glass, terracotta.
Registration fee required to book the course: €85 non-refundable.
The remaining part can be paid on site the day before the start of the course.
**It is advisable to attend the course in comfortable clothing.
*** The fulfillment of the safety measures and standards required by the Italian Government concerning face-to-face training courses is guaranteed.
NB In this period of health emergency, if lessons should be interrupted due to new decree laws and/or local restrictions regarding face-to-face training courses, it will be possible to decide for:
- reimbursement of course hours not yet given,
- postponement of lesson hours to a later date and creation of a new lesson calendar.

On site it will be possible to purchase the package of lessons for the following training course (Roman Mosaic 2 + 40 hours) to be undertaken once this course is finished.
Personalized calendar
Each of our courses is an individual course where the student decides both the starting date and the calendar of the lessons.
The student can decide the number of hours of lessons per day and the division into several weeks, according to their needs.
Kits for studying and practicing mosaic
Practical mosaic kits made by our school as tools for studying and practicing the mosaic art. All kits are equipped with materials, professional tools and video-tutorials.
