Possibility of simultaneous translation into English by a professional translator present during the lessons.

The mosaic school in Tessere is open all year round and follows national holidays.

Byzantine mosaic course in Italy (40 hours in person course)
Course duration: 40 hours. Personalized calendar.
Place: Scuola In Tessere, Via della Stazione 32, Narni Scalo (Tr), 40 minutes by train far from Rome.
Type of lessons: live practical and theoretical lessons.
Teacher: Tiziana Mondini, master of mosaic art with more than 30 years of experience in mosaics creation.
Calendar: Each student can create their own calendar by deciding the kick-off day of the course and the daily hours of lessons.There is not a fix calendar. We provide the student with the chance to autonomously schedule their calendar by sending us an email with their availability before or after the purchase.
Certification: certification of frequency at the end of the course.
Synthetic program of the course:
- History of the mosaic.
- Practice exercises and various constructive mosaic methods.
- Study of the different techniques for creating Byzantin mosaics.
- Selection of the designs and drawings to create.
- Execution of a Byzantine mosaic artwork which will be own by the student.
Tools provided to each student during the course: tagliolo, hammer, pincer, tweezers, and all the necessary tools for learning and practicing the art of mosaic.
Materials provided to each student during the course: marble, enamel, glass, terracotta.
We recommend to attend the course with comfortable clothing.
Registration fee (85€) non-refundable.
The fulfilment of all the security measures and standards required by the Italian Government concerning the training courses in presence are guaranteed.
N.B. In this period of sanitary emergency should the lessons be interrupted due to new laws and/ or local restrictions regarding training courses in attendance you can decide for:
- refund of the hours not given due to any Government restrictions
- postponement of lessons to a later date and creation of a new schedule.

At the end of the Byzantine Basic Mosaic Course it will be possible to buy and attend the following course to get more expertise about Byzantine mosaic.
The next course consists of 40 additional hours.
Personalized calendar
Each of our courses is an individual course where the student decides both the starting date and the calendar of the lessons.
The student can decide the number of hours of lessons per day and the division into several weeks, according to their needs.
Kits for studying and practicing mosaic
Practical mosaic kits made by our school as tools for studying and practicing the mosaic art. All kits are equipped with materials, professional tools and video-tutorials.
